The Maya civilization stands out for many reasons - they were excellent mathematicians, astronomers, agronomists and developed a complex writing system. The lowland region of Guatemala (Peten) is a living testimony of this impressive civilization. For this reason, we have put together a 2-day tour in which you will explore two of the most important Mayan cities: Tikal and Yaxha.

Itinerary:

Day 1
Transportation from your hotel in Guatemala City to the Guatemala National Airport.

Flight from Guatemala City to Santa Elena. Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the airport and get transferred to the Archaeological Site Yaxha.

After exploring the impressive complex of ruins in Yaxha, you will be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2
After breakfast you have a guided tour to the amazing ancient city of Tikal.

Explore the jungle and acquire deeper knowledge about the Mayas.

You will have lunch with your local guide and then we will transfer you back to the airport to take your flight back to Guatemala City.
